Executive Council and Executive Board of ITI
The Executive Council EC comprises a maximum of twenty members elected by a majority vote undertaken by the head delegates of ITI Centres during the General Assembly at the ITI World Congress. EC members serve for the period between two General Assemblies. The EC monitors the execution of programmes adopted by the General Assembly. Together with the Director General the EC creates the strategic plan for, and controls the accounts and the budget of ITI. After the election of the EC through the General Assembly, the members of the EC select a smaller board, called the Executive Board EB, which is comprised of a president, four vice-presidents, a secretary, and a treasurer.
The president and four vice-presidents represent the five regions where ITI is active: Africa, the Americas (including the Caribbean), Arab Countries, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
